The latest news from my governing body the General Osteopathic Council. As a healthcare professional I can exercise my professional judgement to see patients. I will follow a COVID-19 triage, PPE and infection control to follow all government guidelines. Please call me on 07876750517 if you would like any advice regarding treatment. Thank you.
I believe it is important to again set out our position, which has not changed during this pandemic. There is currently no prohibition on osteopathic practice. This means osteopaths, as healthcare professionals, can exercise their own professional judgement about practising taking into consideration all the available evidence and guidance.
With the ever changing news daily, osteopaths have now been told we can continue to treat acute patients and those with chronic conditions. The aim is to reduce the burden on the NHS. No vulnerable group can attend for treatment.
We have conducted a risk assessment of the clinic and produced a checklist to protect patients and staff from COVID-19.
Before attending the clinic, you will be asked to answer a few questions and to sign a consent form.
Certificates have recently been awarded for Adapting your practice post-lockdown and Infection control and PPE in Osteopathic Practice.
Please contact me on 07876750517 for further information. Thank you.
Please not: 24 hours of cancellation is required for all appointments or full charge will applied.
Online osteopathy consultations are available with Osteopathy Works Horsham. This will include a case history, examination and required testing. Treatment will be via exercise rehab and stretching that we will do together during the consultation. I can offer hydrotherapy, lifestyle and ergonomic advice where required.
For further information please contact me via Facebook, my website or on 07876750417. Thank you. Stay safe.
Osteopathy is a form of physical therapy designed to give relief to the body’s mechanical or structural abnormalities. Newborns to the elderly can benefit from an Osteopath’s treatment.
Treatment can range from soft tissue massage to manipulation to the very gentle cranial osteopathic techniques.
